1 Dark green :
• Can be used as the first cord in the “double cord”
technique.

2 Brown :
• Preparation and sealing of veneers.
• Restoration work on fragile and thin tissue.
3 Purple :
• For front teeth.
• Class III, IV & V restorations.
• For use as the second cord in the “double cord” technique.
4 Blue :
• Effective at controlling / displacing tissues when
soaked in haemostatic solution before and/or after preparing crowns.
• Use as a cord on the front teeth.
5 Orange :
• Can be used as the second cord in the “double cord” technique.
• Use as a protective cord during preparation.
6 Yellow :
• For use when the sulcus is mostly open.
