IOS Light Cure Orthodontic Adhesive is a bracket adhesive designed for:
1. Bonding light-impermeable metal brackets.
2. Bonding translucent (plastic or ceramic) brackets.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Known allergies to any of the components.
Composition:
- Aromatic Dimethacrylate Resin
- Aliphatic Dimethacrylate Resin
Instructions for use :
TOOTH PREPARATION
- Prepare teeth with a prophy paste that does not contain oil or fluoride.
- Isolate teeth.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry teeth with oil-free air.
ETCH
- Apply etchant to the tooth surface to be bonded.
- Allow 60 seconds for etching (120 for deciduous teeth).
- Rinse thoroughly with water.
- Re-isolate teeth and dry thoroughly with oil-free air.
- The etched area should appear frosty white. If this is not the case, repeat etching procedure.
Priming & bracket placement :
- Apply a thin, uniform layer of primer onto tooth surface to be bonded.
- Immediately after applying primer, dispense paste over the bracket base.
- Place bracket on the primed area and press gently.
- Using minimal pressure, remove excess adhesive from around the bracket base.
- For metal brackets, use a dental curing light and cure from any two edges (mesial, distal, incisal, gingival) for 20 to 30 seconds.
- For light permeable ceramic and plastic brackets, the adhesive may be cured by directing the light through the bracket.
Bracket ramoval :
1. To remove bracket, use a bracket remover plier. Position it at the enamel/adhesive interface and separate bracket from tooth.
2. Any remaining sealant can be removed with adhesive remover plier or a scaler.
Use & storage :
Store away from sunlight , Observe storage temperatures , Protect from moisture , SHELF LIFE – 2 Year
Emergency measures :
- Eye contact – flush with copious amounts of water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
- Ingestion – If large amount is swallowed, induce vomiting.
- Skin contact – Wash with soap and water
- Inhalation – No harm anticipated
